Luxury Interior Designers in Defence Colony
Defence Colony was laid out for army officers in the mid-twentieth century, and that origin still shows, wide plots, tree-lined lanes, and a housing stock built for permanence rather than turnover. At AEK, we design interiors for Defence Colony’s independent houses and builder floors that honour that original discipline, while bringing the home fully up to how families actually live today.

Defence Colony homes tend to respond well to interiors with a certain discipline to them, clean lines, well-proportioned rooms, nothing overworked. FAQs On Luxury Interior Design In Defence Colony
Why does Defence Colony need a different design approach compared to other South Delhi neighbourhoods?
Its housing stock was built to a fairly uniform original plan but has since been individually modified over decades, so each property needs its own assessment rather than a standard layout applied across the colony.
What does AEK's interior design service in Defence Colony include?
Modular kitchens, wardrobes, living and bedroom interiors, lighting and furniture design, delivered as a single coordinated project.
How do I choose the right interior designer for a builder floor renovation in Defence Colony?
Confirm experience with shared-staircase or shared-terrace properties specifically, and ask how the designer plans around structural work that could affect neighbouring units.
How long does a full house renovation typically take in Defence Colony?
Most complete projects run from a few months upward, depending on how much of the existing structure is being altered versus refreshed.
Can the design build on an earlier renovation rather than starting from scratch?
Yes, the process begins by reviewing what already exists on the property, including any prior renovation work, before proposing further changes.
Do interior designers provide 3D visualisations before work begins on a Defence Colony property?
Yes, 3D visualisations are shared at the design stage so layout, material and colour decisions are finalised before execution starts.
What types of Defence Colony properties does AEK typically design for?
Independent houses and builder floors across the colony’s original lane layout, including properties with earlier renovation history.
What distinguishes luxury interior design from a standard renovation in Defence Colony?
The depth of customisation, quality of materials, and care taken to work within the colony’s narrower lanes and shared-structure builder floors.
Does AEK manage structural work alongside the interior scope for Defence Colony renovations?
Yes, AEK coordinates structural and services work together with the interior design as one project, rather than as separate engagements.
